wild swimmers figures held in water - not heroic, not posed, just present. This series traces moments of immersion across Scotland and beyond: tidal pools in Margate, lochs near Ullapool, the silver shallows of the Inner Hebrides. Each painting captures a pause - before the plunge, after the swim, or in the quiet middle. Some are solitary, some shared. Some are playful, some uncertain. All are rooted in place, light, and the body’s relationship to water. Painted in oil, some on silver leaf panel, these works reflect the elemental clarity of wild swimming: cold, connection, and the quiet rituals of return.
