Figures in water — unposed, unguarded, simply present., surrounded by reflections. This series follows moments of immersion across Scotland and beyond: tidal pools in Margate, lochs near Ullapool, the Ayrshire coast, even Faro in Portugal — and who knows where next. Some are solitary, some shared; some playful, others edged with uncertainty. All return to place, light, and the body’s shifting relationship with water. Painted in oil, including works on silver leaf panel, these pieces reflect the elemental clarity of wild swimming — cold, connection, and the joy that draws swimmers back again and again.
